Green Finance Conference: Science and Practice for Green Finance

From May 15 to 16, the Environment Agency Austria invites you to the 5th conference “Science and Practice for Green Finance” at the Oesterreichische Nationalbank (OeNB). Co-organizers are the Federal Ministry of Climate Action (BMK), the Oesterreichische Nationalbank (OeNB), and the German-speaking environmental agencies as part of the DACH-LIE-LUX Green Finance Working Group.

The event will discuss possible solutions for the successful implementation of regulatory frameworks with a focus on climate and biodiversity. A special session will be dedicated to the specific challenges of the countries in Central, Eastern and South-Eastern Europe (CESEE). One of the aims is to identify gaps in terms of scientific analyses, data and tools for practical implementation in order to define concrete options for action and future research needs.

High-ranking speakers and experts from the following institutions will provide exciting insights into current research findings, political developments and challenges in practice: Oesterreichische Nationalbank (OeNB), Federal Ministry of Climate Action (BMK), Environmental Agencies of the DACHLILU region, European Commission, European Central Bank, World Bank, NGFS Task Force on biodiversity risks in the financial sector, International Sustainable Finance Centre and many more.
