Water quality accurately measured
New video provides insight into quality assurance procedures
Clean water is a precious commodity. In order to maintain water quality in Austria, the quality of groundwater is examined up to four times a year at around 2,000 measuring points. Water samples are also regularly taken and analysed from river waters and lakes. For more than 30 years, the experts of the Environment Agency Austria have been dealing with a wide variety of water-related issues, advising decision-makers in national and international administrations and assessing the chemical and ecological status of surface waters and groundwater.
