Indicator test for municipal contamination
Analysis of ground water and surface water & consultation
Ground water and surface water can be contaminated with pollutants. The reasons are manifold: in addition to large-scale substance inputs, for example from agricultural land use, there may be leaks from septic tanks, sewers and leaky sewage plants. Sometimes bank filtrate is taken for drinking water supply. An important piece of information here is how strongly this water is affected by wastewater discharges into surface waters.
Our solution
- In order to measure the impact of sewage on ground and surface waters, an indicator test has been developed by the Environment Agency Austria.
- At our laboratory, we specifically analyze eight lead compounds (such as pharmaceuticals and their metabolites, industrial chemicals, sugar substitutes etc.) which are usually found in municipal wastewater.
- Upon request we analyse potential contaminant pathways (e.g. sewers)
- We can detect wastewater in ground and surface water in a range of one tenth of a percent.
Your benefits
- You find out sewage has entered ground or surface water.
- You find out to what extent ground or surface water is contaminated with municipal sewage.
- You will receive a comprehensive test report according to EN ISO/IEC 17025 from our accredited testing laboratory, as well as an evaluation of the test results in the different categories.
- As accredited testing laboratory, we are obliged to maintain strict confidentiality in all matters concerning or clients. The test results will be treated as strictly confidential.
