Dioxin emissions measurement in exhaust gas
Sampling and analysis of dioxins, PCBs and PAHs
Emissions from the combustion of fossil fuels and industrial processes such as chemical production, paper bleaching or waste incineration are major sources emissions of dioxins and polychlorinated biphenyls in the air. TÜV AUSTRIA and the Environment Agency Austria offer collaborative sampling, analysis and evaluation.
Your challenge
- You would like to identify potential sources of emissions in your manufacturing processes and to control and reduce the release of dioxins, PCBs (polychlorinated biphenyls); and PAHs (polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons).
- As an industrial installation, you have to ensure that the legally prescribed limits are complied with.
- As an operator of installations subject to licensing, you have to monitor and measure the type and level of the emissions arising from your facility periodically.
Our Services
- We test your manufacturing processes for the release of dioxins, PCB and PAH. Sampling according to the European standard EN1948 is carried out by TÜV AUSTRIA, the analysis and the evaluation are carried out by the accredited testing laboratory of the Environment Agency Austria.
- We provide support for the planning and implementation of emission measurements and, if desired, carry out assessments of industrial installations in collaboration with your experts. On request, we can perform a comprehensive toxicological assessment.
- We provide advice on suitable measures for the reduction of pollutant emissions and support you in implementing the measures.
Your benefits
- Our cooperation of the specialists from the TÜV AUSTRIA (who carry out sampling according to the applicable standard) with our Environment Agency experts (who perform analysis); ensures that we deliver reliable, quality-assured results.
- As accredited testing laboratory we are obliged maintain strict confidentiality in all matters concerning our clients. All test results are treated as strictly confidential.
- The reliability of our services is known throughout Europe. Regular participation in national and international interlaboratory comparison tests assures the quality of our measurement methods and results.
