Short description

Experts from Umweltbundesamt - the Environment Agency Austria worked out proposals for the prevention, reuse and recycling of waste in  Cambodia on behalf of the World Bank. Plastic poses major problems for waste management in Southeast Asia. The material is found on land and in water - with serious consequences for animal and plant life, human health and tourism in the region. The Environment Agency Austria  supported the authorities  to sustainably improve national waste management systems.

- Inventory and analysis of the existing situation for solid waste and plastic waste management, overview of good international practices of successful implemented solid waste and plastic policies, gap analysis

- Policy option analysis and recommendation for a roadmap for solid waste and plastics
