A new nuclear power plant comprising two UK EPR is planned at Hinkley Point, Somerset. Under the National Regulations, the application for the Development Consent Order must be subject to an Environmental Impact Assessment. With reference to the ESPOO Convention, Austria takes part in the transboundary EIA.
