This report covers the results for projections of the air pollutants sulphur dioxide (SO2), nitrogen oxides (NOx), non-methane volatile organic compounds (NMVOC), ammonia (NH3) and particulate matter (PM2.5) under the scenario “with existing measures” (WEM). It updates the previous projections for air pollutants published in 2015 (REP-0556).
The WEM scenario results in significant reductions in emissions from 2005 to 2030 for all pollutants except NH3. The most substantial reduction (about 66%) is projected for the pollutant NOx. Emission reductions for the other pollutants range from 24% to 48 %; NH3 emissions, however, are projected to increase by 8%.
